University Expeditions
Frontier university expeditions are an ideal way to give added depth to your university classes by combining classroom learning with fieldwork skills development. Our experienced conservation and development consultants will work closely with you to build a bespoke expedition around whatever educational, adventure, cultural, or team-building activities you desire. When you're in the field, our field staff will take care of all the logistics and management, arranging transport, accommodation, and the work / study programme, leaving you to get the maximum benefit from your expedition. We have a vast array of experienced science and development professionals on hand who will conduct your training whilst in the field and we'll choose the ones who have the skills that meet your requirements. Past expeditions have included:
Rainforest: Comparison of pristine and logged-over rainforest species richness: Can a rainforest recover from severe human impact?
Savannah: Analysing the effects of agricultural encroachment on large mammal migration through a wildlife corridor, Tanzania
Dry Forest: The effects of altitude on flora and fauna species assemblages on a Nicaraguan Volcano.
Marine: Impact of anchor damage on a pristine coral reef in the Southern Pacific
Historical: Examination of how the slave trade shaped Tanzania's coastal economy.
Cultural: Cambodia's "Killing Fields": totalitarianism in the 20th Century.
