Testimonials

We often receive letters, emails and phonecalls from our volunteers to tell us how much they enjoyed their placements. It's always great to hear about the positive experiences people have had and we'd love to share some of these with you which you can read below:

It went really well, everything was fantastic. (When talking about the London office) I'm not sure how much more could be done; it went very smoothly and seemed really easy. RB, Fiji Teaching July ‘08

I really enjoyed it- it was a fantastic school. EW, Fiji Teaching July ‘08

I have just come back from the Tanzania Savannah Project (4 weeks). Had an amazing time and would definitely go back again. HJ, Tanzania Savannah January ‘08

Everybody was very committed, motivated and professional. The whole phase has been awesome. Each aspect of it from camp life, research work and the people sharing the whole experience. I definitely would love to come back and do some more worthwhile research work. Ellie, the boss, was great, she is really really good at her job and she can  manage excellent relations with everybody. I will be sorry when after my second phase in Mafia I'll have to go back to Europe and deal with a rich and wasteful society. Being here I learnt to appreciate things I didn't before. Overall worthwhile, fun and now I can say essential!!!!! VR, Tanzania Savannah October ‘07

Everyone thoroughly enjoys what they do which results in a very friendly atmosphere. It's like being at home. I only wish I could have stayed longer... TM, Tanzania Marine October ‘07

[The staff had a] really good attitude & made it interesting & fun. Has been an amazing experience thanks to the staff & other RAs, CM, Tanzania Marine October ‘07

The phase has been a valuable and worthwhile experience. It has boosted my confidence and has given me a hunger to see more places. It has been quite intensive at times but I think it has done a lot of good for me, testing my endurance and ability to cope with new and different situations. Overall I have had a brilliant time and think that everyone on camp has been amazing, including the staff. WR, Fiji Marine July ‘07

The whole phase has been a steady learning curve for me and I've enjoyed the challenges throughout it. The BTEC content has been great and very well taught. The expedition as a whole has been an eye opener to the finer details of expedition management. Many thanks to all Frontier staff and volunteers who made it happen. OR, Tanzania Expedition Management July ‘07

My volunteer experience was definitely one of the best experiences of my life! I never thought I could become so close to the monks in the space of a month and although it was hard to leave them I would definitely do a similar thing again. I like that Frontier offers the chance to get new qualifications whilst working in the field and for that reason I would consider volunteering with them again. SB, Nepal Teaching and Temples July ‘07

[The staff were] very professional and helped make the experience what it was - excellent. We were really lucky to get such a good team, to be thrown together for 10 weeks with total strangers and not to have any fallouts and to all get on so well together. Had a great time and this has given me a good idea for my future career. Definitely 10 weeks I will never forget and look back on fondly for the rest of my life. DP, Tanzania Savannah July ‘07

I was a Research Assistant on the Frontier Fiji project from January to March 2007 (071 phase) ... I had an amazing time and will never forget the new experiences I learned while on the phase. SR, Fiji Marine January ‘07

In 2006 I took part in Frontier Tanzania Expedition Management and Madagascar Lemur trips (with both Steve and Amanda who are now members of staff in Madagascar) which were amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on both projects and really would like to look into taking part in further projects... I really would like to go on another amazing adventure with Frontier." ET, Tanzania Expedition Management, Madagascar Lemur and Forest Conservation 2006

I was one of the first research assistants to encounter frontier's expedition. It still to this day brings me many happy memories. I was based in Mikumi National Park for 6 weeks  and then panda forest where I spent many a day wondering why we were collecting different species of butterflies. To this day I have never experienced anything like that opportunity i was given by Eiblish Fanning and David King..( I hope that was his second name) its been a long time ... I had such an amazing experience at 17 years old and I would really like to thank all them people who actually helped me through the experience. PC RA2, Tanzania 1989
