Diving
Scuba diving is an amazing experience wherever you try it but working on a marine conservation project with Frontier enables you to explore some of the top dive sites of the world. From scuba diving with reef fish, dolphins and sharks in Madagascar to discovering sea turtles and manta rays whilst scuba diving in Fiji or finding yourself scuba diving alongside immense whale sharks in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Tanzania ; there's a whole new world to explore as you delve beneath the ocean's surface.
Crystal clear tropical waters host a wealth of marine habitats and wildlife, providing a perfect location to learn to scuba dive and explore pristine, magical underwater seascapes. The vivid and multi-hued coral reefs support a dazzling array of tropical reef fish and provide rich feeding grounds for turtles, rays and other marine creatures, whilst deep blue offshore waters support sharks, dolphins and even whale sharks as well as vast shoals of cruising pelagiacs.
The Frontier marine research and scuba diving projects are long-term initiatives run in association with in-country partner organisations or research and conservation institutes. The overall aim of the programmes is to explore the underwater areas and coastal zones observing and recording information which can be used by local community groups, NGOs, conservation bodies and government agencies in their efforts to conserve and to manage sustainably these valuable coastal regions.
Frontier trained volunteers and divers work hard to gather the data needed to ensure the future preservation of these untarnished marine wildernesses. Volunteers return home with new skills and qualifications, new friends, a wealth of incredible memories and secure in the knowlegde they have made a difference to the future of these amazing ecosystems.

Diving Experiences

"After a few days of acclimatising, we went on a snorkel trip to find whale sharks on their migration. And we were rewarded amazingly, swimming with 7 whale sharks! One even came within a few metres of the boat, which was an incredible thing to see!"
