Training and education are crucial core values of Frontier. Training is given to volunteers, interns, Frontier staff, and to our partners and beneficiaries in-country. Our highly qualified UK and field staff teams will ensure that you receive quality training on your project.
Not only can you volunteer abroad with us, but we offer you the opportunity to formalise your training with a number of internationally recognised, endorsed and accredited qualifications. Teaching English as a Foreign Language
We offer TEFL training and certificates as part of many of our teaching projects. Our two levels of TEFL qualifications mean that you can get the most out of your Frontier experience; our TEFL Certificate is available on Frontier teaching projects of four weeks or more, and our brand new exclusive TEFL BTEC gives you the chance to earn a formal, internationally recognised and EDEXCEL accredited qualification!
PADI Dive Training
On the Frontier Marine Conservation Group Projects, we will train you to PADI Advanced Open Water before you begin undertaking important biological surveys. Depending on how long you spend on the project, you may also have the option to take further courses up to Divemaster!
If you're on one of our Frontier Group projects, you have the chance to earn an EDEXCEL accredited, internationally recognised BTEC certificate - adding an edge to your CV and giving extra depth to your amazing travelling and volunteering experience.
Put yourself ahead of the competition with and get your CV to the top pf the pile our unique internationally accredited BTEC courses; the BTEC Advanced Diploma in Tropical Habitat Conservation, the BTEC Advanced Certificate in Tropical Habitat Conservation, and the BTEC Advanced Certificate in Expedition Management.
We are registered with ASDAN to offer you a unique Certificate of Personal Effectiveness and gain 70 UCAS points in the process!
Field Guide Qualifications
On a few of our Africa wildlife projects you can opt to gain the FGASA Field Guide Level 1, the minimum qualification needed to enter the wildlife guiding industry and start on the road to your dream career.
