Gap Year Travel Sales Consultant

We are looking for a sales orientated target driven ‘people person’ with an outgoing personality to take forward our volunteer operation in both our London Headquarters and American Office, California. The successful candidate will coordinate sales and recruitment of all research and gap year participants.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • To interpret the diverse range of enquiries from prospective gap year volunteers and to respond swiftly and appropriately to create and develop positive relations
  • To increase both the number of people engaged and the number of new volunteers recruited by making outbound calls to existing sales leads
  • To achieve specified sales conversion targets
  • Maintain and develop existing and new volunteers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service and volunteer satisfaction
  • Provide comprehensive, accurate and current marketing information on the projects
  • Process and present information on the recruitment of volunteer
  • Co-ordinate interviews and recruitment sessions
  • Assist other staff at recruitment fairs, talks, Briefing and Training Weekends.

Complete an internship and receive a subsidised 10-week placement on one of Frontier's Group Projects (excluding visas, insurance, dive training and flights)!

We welcome volunteers to help out at the London HQ throughout the year with Research & Development, UK & Overseas Operations, and Events & Marketing. Internships are a great opportunity to see how a conservation organisation works, gain some useful skills and work experience. Internships are non-salaried positions, but include travel expenses*. Positions last for 6 months, 4 days a week.
